1. Who We Are

Women in Finance Rwanda Foundation (“WIFR”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation registered in Rwanda under Registration N°1112/RGB/NGO/OC/09/2022. We promote diversity and gender equality in financial services in Rwanda through membership, mentorship, capacity building, and events.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, www.wifrwanda.com (the “Site”), and your participation in WIFR membership and activities. By using the Site or registering as a member, you agree to these terms.

2. Membership

Membership of WIFR is open to professionals in financial services, telecommunications, fintech, and related sectors who support WIFR’s mission. Applications are made through the registration channels provided on the Site.

WIFR reserves the right to accept, decline, suspend, or terminate any membership where a member:

  • provides false or misleading information during registration;
  • engages in conduct that brings WIFR into disrepute or is contrary to its aims and objectives; or
  • breaches these Terms & Conditions or any rules applying to membership.

Members may end their membership at any time by notifying WIFR in writing through our contact channels.

3. Events and Programmes

WIFR advertises events, mentorship programmes, and training opportunities on the Site and through email communications. While we make every effort to run events as advertised, we may need to reschedule or cancel events due to circumstances beyond our control. Where an event carries a fee, this will be stated at the time of booking. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, event fees are non-refundable.

4. Mentorship

Participation in the WIFR mentorship programme is voluntary. Mentors and mentees are expected to engage respectfully and professionally. WIFR facilitates connections but is not responsible for the advice exchanged between mentors and mentees, which is given in a personal capacity.

5. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems;
  • upload or transmit harmful, unlawful, or offensive material; or
  • use the Site in any way that could damage WIFR’s reputation or operations.
